The Story Behind Adorned

I’m Katie Sahnow, founder of Adorned with Alignment.

In the spring of 2024, I reached a turning point in my life. Asking for help led me to intensive EMDR therapy and began a process of reconnecting with myself. It took time, care, and a willingness to believe that life could feel different.

Through travel and exploring spiritual practices, I began learning to trust my intuition and love myself more deeply. In the fall of 2025, I received my Usui Reiki I certification in Spain. I continued my studies in 2026 through the International School of Reiki, expanding my practice in Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki. Now, level II Reiki Practitioner.

Adorned grew from that journey—and from wanting to offer something meaningful to others as they move through their own.

Something You Can Carry

So much of our inner growth happens quietly. We feel it before we can explain it. Sometimes, something tangible helps us remember.

For me, jewelry can be that reminder. A piece chosen to honor your worth. A connection shared with someone you love. A way to mark the beginning of a chapter you’ve worked hard to reach.

Each Adorned piece is infused with Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki and made personal through your choice of chain, metal, and details. The meaning belongs to you.

Your Story, Celebrated

A milestone can be a wedding, a birthday, or a gathering of your closest friends. It can also be a private decision to begin again.

My intention is to bring a moment of connection into that experience: time to pause, choose something personal, and acknowledge what brought you here.

For a celebration, that might mean your favorite people choosing jewelry together, each leaving with a reminder of the day and one another. It might mean making room for a shared Reiki experience—a quiet moment within a season full of plans and anticipation.

The experience is shaped around you and what you want to honor. Together, we can create something that feels personal while you’re here and holds meaning long afterward.
